About Mr. Joseph Carr

Mr. Joseph Carr– Trustee

As a lifelong resident of the Borough of Hawthorne and a proud product of the Hawthorne Public School System, I am deeply committed to the success and well-being of our students, educators, and community. With a strong background in leadership, public service, and community engagement, I bring experience in organizational management, problem-solving, and teamwork.

I am deeply committed to education and youth development through active roles in school and community programs. As Vice President of the Hawthorne High School Booster Club and a member of the Hawthorne Municipal Alliance, Hawthorne Day Committee, and Bandshell Committee, I work to enrich student and community life. I’ve also served as Vice President and Coach for the Hawthorne Cubs Football Association and coached with the Hawthorne Baseball Softball Association, promoting leadership and teamwork. 

Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and a Master of Administrative Science, providing me with the expertise to navigate complex challenges, implement effective policies, and advocate for the best interests of our students and educators.
With a strong passion for education, leadership, and community engagement, I am committed to working collaboratively to enhance the Hawthorne Public School System, ensuring that every student receives the support and opportunities needed to succeed.
