About Mrs. Abigail Goff
Mrs. Abigail Goff – Trustee
Abigail Goff has proudly called Hawthorne home for over 20 years. She was first elected to the Board of Education in April 2012 and is now serving her fifth consecutive term. Throughout her tenure, she has held leadership roles as both President and Vice President, and has chaired several key committees, including Curriculum and Instruction, as well as the Superintendent Search Committee. As a parent of two children currently enrolled in the district, she brings both a personal and professional perspective to her role.
Before settling in Hawthorne, Abigail was born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Environmental Science from Lafayette College and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Education and a Post-Master’s certificate as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDT-C). She currently serves as an LDT-C and Case Manager for the Pequannock Township Public Schools where she brings years of valuable experience from her time as a classroom teacher. As a veteran educator,, she understands the importance of strong schools and the impact they have on a community.
Abigail is a familiar face at school and community events—from concerts and sports events to PTO meetings and academic showcases. Her active presence reflects her belief that strong connections between families, schools, and the community are key to student success.
