Mr. Marco Totaro – President

Marco Totaro is a dedicated leader in the Hawthorne, New Jersey community, currently serving as President of the Hawthorne Board of Education. Now in his third term as a Trustee, Marco brings a strong commitment to fostering excellence in education and ensuring a safe, high-quality learning environment for all students.

Professionally, Marco is the President of a major electrical contracting firm operating in New York and New Jersey, overseeing a workforce of more than 500 employees. His leadership experience in business and project management provides him with valuable insights into strategic planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency—skills he applies to his role on the Board of Education.

During his tenure, Marco has played a key role in enhancing district facilities as the former Chairperson of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. He has also contributed to critical policy changes and has been the former liaison to the town council. Now, as Board President, he remains focused on collaboration, student achievement, and strengthening partnerships between the schools and the Hawthorne community.
